After last years massive Systemcon which spanned a full 365 days, we figured it was appropriate to cool off with a smaller and more standard contest like previous years. This con will run just under 4 months, and will be concluding at the end of Summer. Liminal Archives is excited to present our newest event:
Monster Hunter Con!
A contest about monsters, entities, and the people who hunt them across all the liminal systems. Write entities either fierce or mundane, or write OC's who make their living by integrating into the ecosystem of monsters — perhaps hunters, trappers, or even just naturalists who dedicate their lives to the study of liminal ecology.
Essentially, the Monster Hunter Con is both an Entity / POI contest, with an emphasis on the interactions between them. ✧
RULES:
1. Site rules still apply to entries submitting to this contest.
2. Any type of article may be entered so long as it relates to entities or POI's.
3. Already uploaded articles cannot be entered but works-in-progress from before the contest may be entered.
4. Collabs are also accepted.
5. Votes by authors on their own entries will not be counted toward final scoring.
6. You are required to get crit like for any other article. Once voting begins, entries will be moved to the default category and treated like regular articles.
7. Each author may submit up to three entries to the contest. Collaborations between multiple authors count as an entry for each author.
🏆: If an author manages to write two or three articles that wind up in the top three rated entries, the author will be awarded a custom role on the Discord called "Contest Legend"
DATES:
Writing Period: Today until Friday, Aug 22nd at 11:59 PM EST
Voting Starts: Saturday, Aug 23th
Voting Ends: Saturday, Aug 30th at 11:59 PM EST
Winners Announced: Sunday, Aug 31st.
This contest correlates with northern hemisphere summer break and ends before the 2025 fall semester ✧
