this was a fun read and very fitting for the contest :) +1!
edit: on reread, I've decided to go with a novote. I don't dislike the entry by any means, but it seems so laden with fairly vague imagery and symbolism that I realized I hadn't really read it as in-depth as I should've. Again, I don't dislike it, but it seems both too vague and too explicit to really enjoy- like, at the end it describes how one man's greed of… wanting to record it… destroyed it, which isn't the sort of conclusion I was expecting. If more was left to the imagination, it would be stronger. You're both inviting the reader to imagine what it's like, but when it comes to the actual end of the world, you spell it out, which is unsatisfying.
