From Almarduk. It was crit4crit so it meets the crit requirment. If not I have another person who said all of Almarduks crit was good and gave some additional ideas.

This was uploaded a bit late for the contest as I had not finished it before voting start. This is my third and final attempt at creating horror. Like the previous entries, any feedback would greatly be appreciated!

It’s short, it’s campy, it reminds me of a goofy thing you’d see in the Labyrinth movie… the one from the 80’s with David Bowie and all the muppets.

I can’t just no vote this. You could have put a bit more effort in, I think, but it nails the horrorcon theme on the head.

I don't know what "campy" means but I assume it is negative. They are supposed to be spooky but also a bit funny. I haven't seen Labyrinth, but it sounds like a fun movie just from your description of it!
I'll be sure to improve it after the contest and seek some more crit. Maybe also ask some people for some cryptic messages to put at the bottom since mine could definitely be replaced by better.

Thanks for the definition! I also searched the term and I agree that it is a bit campy. I think in the back of my mind I had an idea from an old comedy movie that could be considered campy. I like campy stuff but I don't want this article to be overwhelmed by the campiness. It is supposed to be more scary than funny.

This article is okay but it feels very underdeveloped. It touches on some interesting ideas but doesn't do anything interesting with them.

Like many of my works, I feel this one is underdeveloped in the areas I wanted. Perhaps it was the limited time I had with the contest deadline and the shutdown of Wikidot.
As they are used in another article, if this needs to be remade/deleted, I would put it in non-canon for the time being.

A rewrite would be about the skulls as an addiction and a trap. They lure in the cowards and provide them comfort. They make their prey feel as though they need to rely on the skull to survive. After some time, the skull will become vaguer and provide less useful and dangerous warnings. Eventually, the wanderer will die and feed their voice to the skull.

I would also do something with the multitude of voices. Perhaps the more voices a skull has, the more potent it is to attract others. But for what reason does the skull need to have more voices?
