This borrows the entire concept of Liminal Dreamer Disorder from that video, the only original thing it has is the bedrooms space itself, and just functions as an inferior execution.
Yes I'm aware, I received permission from the creator to use the idea and the interview, credit was given In the author(s) tab, and the bedrooms was a way to put an actual physical spin on it, and electricfanatic(the creator) liked it, if you think there's a way I can improve it without removing the core concept let me know, im always looking to improve.
There are some cool concepts here. However, the SPaG is off in many places. The space itself is not that interesting, with LDD being the main focus. However, some elements of LDD seem quite generic, or arbitrary. I especially dislike Dreamers turning into generic killer-monsters for questionable reasons. It just feels shoehorned in.
This article has potential, but in its current state does not present its ideas in a compelling way.
The setting has little to offer, with the main draw being the beds that drive you insane. I think LDD could have a bit of a more creative twist, perhaps more philosophical or psychological in nature. (Think The Matrix, and the complex themes that arise when blending the dream world and the real world) Mirroring Jan Jejasa that it was a missed opportunity making them just turn psycho killer. It's watered-down horror.
I would also enjoy the Bedrooms themselves having more detail or some compelling draw rather than the age-old "infinite random changing hallways" since that's been done to death. I think if we just pushed this article a little further it would be awesome but at the moment it's just a little luke-warm all around.
Try to include an exciting new twist or idea, and use it as a powerful theme throughout!
