Is this replacing the original level 1 article?
I sure hope so, this one rules! I like this a lot!!!
Such is life in the Soviet Union
I hate it and I want the original level 1 back. The format may be loose but I still don't like this. The take on the format looks awful and one part feels overly dramatic. It doesn't elaborate on how to get to level 2. (Which is required)
There is a section explaining how the Halls connects to neighbouring levels through gradients, rifts, or portals.

The article still does not mention level 2's entrance from level 1. Also, once you get to that part, the article stop being about level 1 and starts talking about the backrooms in general. Therefore, my point still stands. Also, I never edited this article.
If you are looking for the former version of this article, this is the link to the archive:
I don't like the new one because it doesn't explain how to go to level 2. Also, it stands out too much from the other quantum-stable levels and it looks way too different. I want the old one back :( This means -1 for the new one and +1 for the old one.
Isnt everything documented meant to be info gathered by wanderers? how come this new page states the level is infinite in size? wouldn't that be impossible for the writer to know, especially since this level is still being explored?
Also, how come the exit format doesn't follow the same pattern as the other level pages?
Easily the best version of the first level of the backrooms of any site. The page is long, detailed and beautifully written. Probably one of the best works on this site.
Maybe I'll read this article again in the future and change my mind but I just didn't enjoy this very much. I was bored reading it.
I don't have much specific crit, just that the writing is a bit too wordy for my tastes. I think it could be a lot more concise. Also, stuff like Parology is just kinda confusing to me which doesn't add to my enjoyment.
Another criticism I have is that I don't feel very immersed while reading this. Unlike the old Level 1 page, this article focuses more on extraneous details than it does on the actual setting and imagery.
Also, a lot of the fancy formatting just feels… unnecessary. The moving and blurring image of the ruined outpost is really obnoxious. It is distracting while I'm reading the paragraphs around it, and when I'm actually trying to look at the image, I wish it would just sit still so that I can see it. Same with the fractal image.
Also I think the blurb about instantaneous travel should be removed entirely. It feels very antithetical to the site. Backrooms researchers trying to turn splicing into controlled teleportation? Feels like something from SCP.
Great article. Would like more explanation on what 'Limrot' is, kind of just thrown out there randomly.
